David Michael, MLA, is the Minister for Mines and Petroleum; Finance; Electoral Affairs; Goldfields-Esperance; and Leader of the House in the Government of Western Australia. He represents the electorate of Balcatta and has served in State Parliament since 2017.

With a background in economics and local government, he continues to advance policies that strengthen the State’s mining sector, fiscal responsibility, and regional growth across key industries.
