Dr. Andy Symington is the Director of Human Rights and Social Impact at KPMG Australia, where he leads social performance work across the mining sector and drives the firm’s global Just Transition response. His expertise bridges business strategy, human rights, and sustainable development in the context of the energy transition.

Andy works closely with industry partners on social outcomes in transition minerals, building on doctoral research into lithium mining. He also writes and teaches widely on responsible practices in energy transformation.
